In recent years, there has been increasing discussion and practice on the time bank model of senior living. However, the feasibility of the time bank model has not been confirmed by mainstream economic theory, and the current time bank mechanism has many problems and is not suitable for direct replication. This paper proves that the time bank model is feasible based on the money search model: (1) interest-free and inflation-free time currency enhances the level of welfare of older people compared to legal currency; (2) the introduction of market mechanism in the time bank model is an important way to maximize the most equitable welfare of the elderly. In addition, by drawing on the operational mechanisms of mature central and commercial banks, introducing commodity and capital markets, and balancing financial stability and financial risk, a time bank model with an inclusive operational mechanism has been designed.
